For our Client we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with Ruby!

What You do:

Creating, maintaining and executing automated test cases
Proactive driving improvements to quality assurance process
One of your goals is eliminating manual testing and trivial activities by providing automation
Daily monitoring of automated test results, reporting and tracking defects
Design, development and execution of manual and automated tests for RESTful API micro-services
Communicating about dependencies, risks and delays
Working with technical and non-technical team members to ensure high quality is being implemented
Close collaboration with development team to integrate quality in all they do.

Who you are and what you know:

At least 4 year experience in QA Automation Engineer or similar role
Practical knowledge of any programming language, preferably in scripting language area
Knowledge of Ruby (our framework is built on it)
Ideas how to build Automation Test Framework
Understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques and Built-In-Quality
Not only know how to create test cases but also how to anticipate what is needed to execute them
Practical knowledge of working with APIs
Experience with Git
Understands the operation of IT systems and how the communication between the application and the backend as well as external systems works
An assertive, pro-active person who thinks analytically
Detail oriented with good time management skills and ability to fit in a fast paced agile environment
Communicative, there are no stupid questions for you to ask.

What could be useful:

Some experience with testing RESTful API services using both manual and automated approach
Practical knowledge of KIBANA, JIRA, XRAY(JIRA PLUGIN for execution tests)
Understanding of CI/CD, basic pipeline creation skills and understanding of docker usage/operations
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB (for basic operations, test user and other test precondition management)
Practical knowledge of Gherkin (BDD)
Working in agile methodologies.
